Nathan's Art Work

So what do you do with all the art work that comes home from preschool and that we create at home? I heard someone say once that they took pictures of their children's art work. Something feels funny about doing this. But I am not a pack rat and paper drives me crazy. So here it goes. Here are two of my favorites. I love the way he wrote his name in this top one and coloring is his all time favorite thing to do. He would color all day if I let him. Nathan and his Mrs. LaPlante at Preschool created this materpiece. Apparently, Nathan cut out the windows (notice the excellent fine motor skills : )...that's my boy). And he drew the pictures of each member of his family. We also had Parent Teacher Conference last week. That was lots of fun. And I did not even cry. I will admit that I had to hold back a little when she told me how sweet Nathan is and that he is such a good friend. He is always there to comfort someone who is having a hard time or to see if someone is O.K. when they have fallen down. His highest score (well....he did get a high score in counting too) was in Balance and Coordination. Shocking, huh? I laughed out loud when I saw that. As most of you know he is so dang coordinated - it is not funny. He has been riding a razor like a crazy man since he was 2 1/2. He can dribble both a basketball and a soccor ball. Should I keep going..... Probably NOT! O.K. I am done. Sorry about that.

Janell- I have tons of Gunnar's art work too! I feel sad throwing it away. It seriously is cheesy stuff, but I feel endeared to it because his little hands made it. I will start taking pictures of all of it! That's a great idea-

Taking a picture of his art work is a great idea. BUT make sure you keep at least a few things from each grade level. Mom kept a Santa project I did in Elementary and I have recreated it and am now doing every year with my class!!
